As Mariachi Luna y Sol (MLS) finished off its best year ever, it couldn't have been better when they performed for the former President and First Lady of Mexico, Mr. & Mrs. Fox. It was a grand event that ended with a big hug from Martha Fox saying, "Such talented musicians…please continue to treasure your culture by continuing to foster your music…" In 2007, Mariachi Luna y Sol was voted by the Omaha Entertainment Awards under the Live Music category as 'Best Ethnic Group' along with most recently assisting Mannheim Steamroller at the Qwest concert in Omaha, NE. Recognized as the premier mariachi in the Midwest—it's the only complete mariachi in the region that has a full ensemble of violins, guitars, vihuela, guitarron, trumpets and vocals—with their beautiful harmonies and soloists they have stunned crowds with unforgettable performances across the country from concerts to private events.
