Allred's message: We can all make change in this world! Alexandra Allred won the U.S. Nationals in September 1994, making sports history as she was named to the first women's bobsled team. She was named Athlete of the Year by the United States Olympic Committee for her sport and made international news as she was also pregnant at the time. Allred co-authored the first-ever bylaws and fought to get women included into the Olympic Games in 2002. Since then, there's been no looking back. Allred retired and began playing professional women's football for a feature with Sports Illustrated, test drove the Volvo Gravity Car, donned dog attack suits, outrun beefalo (that's a cow/buffalo mix), and swam with sharks (literally) in open waters -- all for a good story.
