Annually, $500,000 in scholarships and grants will be distributed to cosmetology students and salon businesses across 5 cities. Atiya watched for years her mom run a successful beauty salon until she was 17 and was unexpectedly thrust into the role of business owner while in high school. Due to her mom having a mental health challenge, Atiya took the reins and made a decision to walk with a purpose. Since becoming a beauty professional she has impacted the lives of so many! Atiya has been honored with a Local Women’s organization, recognized by members of the NAACP, NJ Chamber of Commerce, Beyoncé's Foundation, and countless others. She has been awarded the Women of Excellence and has been featured in many articles, news broadcasts, and blogs. Atiya currently has developed a cosmetology school that incorporates diverse education and business mindset training for all. She has developed several diverse platforms and has been a guest speaker on numerous community, local, and national panels.
