It is ok to look happy, and be strong, and move on. Lost loved ones want you to make the most of your life. That don't want you to stop living because they are not around anymore.
Billi Jo has experienced first had what major loss can feel like. In 2008 a house fire claimed the lives of 3 of her family members. This not only left her without those people, but guardian of her 16-year-old sister. Listen to her struggles and her growth and laugh along with her as she tells you what it's like to be a survivor and move forward, one step at a time.
Billi Jo has since started, First Reach Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed at financially supporting the mental health needs of First Responders.
