About
"Not only were the conference evaluations outstanding, the evaluations of Eric's work were absolute best, #1."

Eric deployed three times as a Marine and on his final tour, was wounded in Afghanistan after stepping on an IED. Eric suffered the amputation of his right leg below the knee, a life-changing opportunity that began his next journey. Faced with a physical challenge and an uncertain future, Eric made a promise to himself to run an Ironman Triathlon. On his journey from the hospital bed to the Ironman World Championships, he realized that the challenge and adversity he was up against and the techniques he used to reach the finish line could be used against the challenges we all entertain.

Everyone's experiences differ, but Eric shares what motivated him and how he was able to maintain an overall positive attitude. How looking at the situation through a different lens played a big rule in that attitude.

It's a fun presentation. It's interactive, you'll probably convince Eric to take his leg off and I guarantee you'll laugh at some points and come on the verge of tears at others.

*Eric personally tailors each presentation to fit the needs of the event planner. Eric also loves spending time, both before and after the event, with the team members and audience to form great relationships.

Wish I could give more stars! Eric made our event so much better. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. The presentation had highs and lows and moments that were funny but also moments that made you self reflect. In the event re-cap at the end of the day, Eric was more quoted than any of our industry professionals. Book this guy, you will not regret it.

All in all Eric was a fantastic choice for our meeting. He was very responsive, professional, and engaging right from moment he quoted us through his talk with our group. His story is extremely moving and motivational. Our whole group was completely drawn into his story and the accomplishments that Eric has been able to achieve in such a short period of time. We would hire him again in a heartbeat and would recommend him to any other company!!

Mr. McElvenny was absolutely superb to work with. Great communication in the weeks before the event and he met me well before the meeting start to rig his laptop to the system - I really appreciated that. Very inspiring, well thought out presentation and message. His personal strength was felt by everyone in attendance. Many positive comments. I sincerely enjoyed the brief time I shared with him. He's clearly a man of the highest integrity and conviction and just a great pleasure to be around. I wish him the very best in his future Ironmans and the very best for his wonderful family too. I'd highly recommend him to anyone planning an event and will.

We hired Eric for a school sponsored mother son event. Eric was inspiring, kind and the real definition of a hero . He was professional but at the same time he wasn't overly rehearsed - he was present and authentic. He understood how to handle a room full of curious students and answered their questions with grace. The moms and sons were so touched by his story, by his determination and desire to continue to seek out his purpose despite the obstacles in his life. It was our privilege to meet Eric and hear his story.

Eric worked extremely well to engage our group. His story was great, and he was most accommodating, and worked to fill a rather "last minute" decision on our part. His passion, and ability to laugh at himself, as well as making the audience a part of his journey (even if for a short time), was so positive. He had every reason to be negative, but spun his loss of a limb into a positive, much like the life story he communicated to the group. I would like to hear him speak again, and would recommend him to others who would like to hear a message regarding spirit, inspiration, price, determination, heroism, and family.

Eric is not only a hero, but someone who has an over-the-top inspiring story. His ability to convey howhis military life, family life, and iron-man experiences translate in how someone should live their lives, is tremendous! I would never hesitate to pass along his name if someone is looking for a true motivator. Thank You Again Eric, Joe Bertolami & The GRS Team

Eric was amazing! I would highly recommend him for any event that you are looking for a motivational speaker for. He did an awesome job engaging out college students, which is not an easy task. He walked around before the presentation and interacted with and got to know the students who were in attendance which allowed him to be able to engage with them more during the presentation. He even hung out for quite awhile after his presentation to talk individually to a number of the students. I had a lot of students, staff, and faculty mention how much they enjoyed his presentation. He didn't just meet my expectations he went way above them.

We hired Eric as a speaker for our company's annual team event and we couldn't be happier with our selection. He and his assistant Adam were very easy to work with leading up to the event and they had no problems accommodating our schedule and location for the event. Our whole team really enjoyed our time with Eric. His story touched us all and we appreciated how humble and laid back he was. He was very entertaining, he made us laugh, and his speech was full of lessons that were motivational and inspiring. I would definitely recommend Eric for anyone looking to hire a speaker for their next event.
