"I have heard several motivational speakers talk in my life, but not many times do you get to see someone who does not quote from other’s lives but tells his own story and it inspires you. Gary tells you what he did and you will be inspired"
A story that appeals due to its larger mythic features. The life's journey. Realizing one's purpose. Making many false turns and starts on the way to reaching beyond oneself. Trying on lots of early, incorrect notions of what one wants to be, and actually finding a `true' identity through trial, suffering, loss, stupid mistakes (that we all make, in large or small forms) and hard, hard recovery - driven by grace, w/ some small modicum of luck thrown in.
Together: Anything is Possible - A keynote experience delivered only, by Gary Guller (world record holder), specializing in opening & closing keynotes. An expedition leader of epic proportion, Gary Guller climbed to the very summit of Mt. Everest and became the first person with one arm to stand on top of the world! Six weeks prior, he was the expedition leader of the largest ever cross-disability team to reach Everest Base Camp, at 17,500 feet. Later the next year, Gary led an expedition to the summit of the world's sixth highest mountain, Mt. Cho Oyu, in Tibet.
Executives from around the globe (30+ countries) seek out Gary for a genuine real life perspective delivering amazing results through teamwork, discipline and to the summit. If Guller was to select one factor — it would be consistent execution and delivery of committed outcomes. Here's his view…methodologies provide a nice framework for thinking and have the potential to clarify roles and hand-offs. But nothing beats being out in the trenches working side by side with the teams and learning — and then returning to base camp (HQ) to eliminate obstacles and inefficiencies that possibly annoy and derail teams as they make their way to their summit. The best of plans yield to the situation on the ground and our ability to react, contribute and add long term value.
Gary Guller survived the catastrophic fall at Pico de Orizaba, an accident that claimed the life of his best friend and eventually led to the loss of his his left arm. He went on to summit Mt. Everest, becoming the first man in history to ever do so – this after leading the largest team of persons with disabilities to ever reach the base camp of Everest. Since Everest, he's summited Cho Oyu and completed the insanely difficult Marathon de Sables – believed to be the toughest footrace in the world. Gary will share his unstoppable philosophies of personal accomplishment with all attendees.
