World Record: Motivational Speaker (Mt Everest Summiter). Specializes in opening & closing keynotes. An international speaker on topics including leadership, teamwork and overcoming adversity. Anything is Possible.
A story that appeals due to its larger mythic features. The life's journey. Realizing one's purpose. Making many false turns and starts on the way to reaching beyond oneself. Trying on lots of early, incorrect notions of what one wants to be, and actually finding a `true' identity through trial, suffering, loss, stupid mistakes (that we all make, in large or small forms) and hard, hard recovery - driven by grace, w/ some small modicum of luck thrown in.
Alcohol and drug addiction, intimacy, intrigue, passion, adventure, belief, failures and ultimately, success. At the top of the world, with one arm. And finally, finding some inner peace leading to better relationships, better work practice, better home life and then better within themselves.
Together: Anything is Possible: A keynote experience delivered only, by Gary Guller (world record holder), specializing in opening & closing keynotes. An expedition leader of epic proportion, Gary Guller climbed to the very summit of Mt. Everest and became the first person with one arm to stand on top of the world! Six weeks prior, he was the expedition leader of the largest ever cross-disability team to reach Everest Base Camp, at 17,500 feet. Later the next year, Gary led an expedition to the summit of the world's sixth highest mountain, Mt. Cho Oyu, in Tibet.
Executives from around the globe (30+ countries) seek out Gary for a genuine real life perspective delivering amazing results through teamwork, discipline and to the summit. If Guller was to select one factor — it would be consistent execution and delivery of committed outcomes. Here's his view…methodologies provide a nice framework for thinking and have the potential to clarify roles and hand-offs. But nothing beats being out in the trenches working side by side with the teams and learning — and then returning to base camp (HQ) to eliminate obstacles and inefficiencies that possibly annoy and derail teams as they make their way to their summit. The best of plans yield to the situation on the ground and our ability to react, contribute and add long term value.
Gary Guller survived the catastrophic fall at Pico de Orizaba, an accident that claimed the life of his best friend and eventually led to the loss of his his left arm. He went on to summit Mt. Everest, becoming the first man in history to ever do so – this after leading the largest team of persons with disabilities to ever reach the base camp of Everest. Since Everest, he's summited Cho Oyu and completed the insanely difficult Marathon de Sables – believed to be the toughest footrace in the world. Gary will share his unstoppable philosophies of personal accomplishment with all attendees.
"Gary has a special gift, and although his story is one of conquering mountains and ours is one of conquering industry changes and maturing operations, his message holds true for us. “We must lead together as one team. It is vital to our success,” Gary reminded us. “Together we can achieve! Together we can do the possible and impossible!” he added, a mantra that every one of us should live by. We are climbing our Everest and we can see the peak. Together we will reach it. My thanks to Gary for helping all of us know that." SVP & CIO at Excellus

Guller's book, “Make Others Greater” combines Gary's incredible stories with those of leaders and businesses around the world to deliver a commanding and inspirational message of resilience and empowerment. Survival alone doesn't define us.
“Gary has several differentiated attributes. He has a very compelling story. It focuses on the team and what is possible. This is a competitive differentiator for our business. Gary brings his A game every time. He spends the necessary time understanding the organization and makes sure his messages are in the context of what the audience needs to hear. Gary puts in the time. He comes in early and is available to the participants afterwards. He does not land, do a stock speech and leave immediately. Having worked with many outside professionals, I can tell you definitively that this is what sets Gary apart.” SVP Corporate Strategy Fortune 100
