FABULOUS! Alyse Black & The True Velvets made the event! They entertained our guests with myriad variety of genres, including adding songs to their repertoire, special to the bride & groom. Alyse Black & The True Velvet were very professional in communication and setup, I hardly even noticed them get setup and ready to go so quickly while the wedding was going on. They played the songs we requested, but with such a heart-warming soul, that we could not have asked for more. To be honest, I had my reservations in booking a band for the wedding. However, I was left beyond impressed and so glad we chose Alyse Black & The True Velvet to make our day even more special. I think I even had 3 people come up to me saying they sounded better than 99% of what was on the radio and asked for the contact info for Alyse. Again Thanks SOOO MUCH!

We hired Alyse for our Holiday company party for physicians. She was fabulous! She also brought a very talented guitarist with her. Her voice is amazing, very mesmerizing as it is so awesome! We asked for lively yet subtle jazz music and we could not have chosen a more perfect choice. She is lovely in person, very delightful and warm. A must for any party! She definitely understands how to meet one's party needs. She gave us exactly what we asked for and then some. She was the icing on the cake for our event. Highly recommened!

Alyse and her band did a phenomenal job at my wedding! For months in advance, Alyse worked with me on a specific song list and in what particular order to sing them. They performed 30 songs during their 4 hour performance including 12 songs that I requested them to practice just for the wedding! Alyse herself is the most pleasant and positive individual. She brightens up the room and made our wedding even more beautiful. Guests raved about her and my relatives (who are traditional Vietnamese and prefer Viet singers) were so impressed with Alyse. That just shows how versatile she is! We are very happy to have Alyse & the True Velvet perform on our special day.

Alyse Black and the True Velvet did a spectacular job at our corporate event. She was very sensitive to the volume of the music and made sure that it wasn't too loud for our guests, ensuring that they could still mingle and talk. She was also very attentive, and went the extra mile to fully accommodate all of our special requests. Many of our guests, and the venue manager remarked that they sounded amazing, and several people asked for contact info. I highly recommend this group. They are friendly, professional, and very talented.

So much fun, laid-back & the nicest people you'll ever meet. She has a beautiful voice and the rest were perfect as well. People were literally stopping us & asking for their info & saving it on their phones. We had a wedding ceremony & reception together at night in a jazz club and it was perfect. They even did the procession music for the wedding party. All the guests raved. They didn't even bat an eye at a couple last-minute changes. Alyse-thank you for the BEST night ever!!!!

We had Alyse and True Velvet perform for our wedding, and to sum it up, they were absolutely amazing. Everyone took a moment away from dancing to tell me how much they loved the band. They had a fabulous set including everything from Frank Sinatra to the Spice Girls. Alyse was so much fun to have around, she has a great positive energy. I couldn't imagine a more perfect performance for our wedding.

Alyse was so professional and easy to work with. She was communicative and well prepared. She even accommodated several special requests. Having Alyse and the band, including the full horn section, really set the mood for our classy event. We were so impressed that they were able to play pop songs, along with older hits, and jazz. The band even improvised a beat when the groom's brother took the stage. And, they played an amazing horn salute when we entered the cocktail hour. We received tons of compliments on the music and people asking where we found the band. Our wedding was so much fun and Alyse was a big part of that! Thank you Alyse!

Alyse Black and The True Velvet were everything I wanted in a wedding band and more. They made the wedding reception lively and full of energy. They are such a talented group of performers. Our guests enjoyed dancing and singing along with the band throughout the night. My husband and I were having such a good time we didn't want to leave! I highly recommend Alyse Black and her group. If you are looking for a way to make your reception come alive they are absolutely the way to do it.
