He is available for events of all kinds in 5 different states! Derek's live performances feature him singing I BELIEVE, as well as his interpretations of popular hits from the 50's & 60's. In addition to his live singing, Derek also provides full DJ/MC entertainment, and has a very extensive collection of music from the 50's through today. Derek was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and now lives in northern New Jersey. In addition to his work with The GoldTones, Derek has also worked with various other music groups over the years. He was formerly the lead singer of the doo-wop group STILL AROUND, and also a former member of the oldies band JUKEBOX MEMORIES. He has performed at many shows and events throughout the eastern United States, and has appeared on several radio and television programs. Derek has also performed at various oldies concerts which starred legendary doo-wop recording artists including The Vocaleers, The Continentals, The Dubs, Nicky Addeo & The Night Owls, Della Griffin & The Enchanters, and The Del Vikings. He plans to continue his efforts to help keep doo-wop and rock'n'roll oldies alive, and to help introduce the oldies to new generations of listeners!
