The Left Coast Quintet (LCQ for short) has been around since 2014, and in that time we've played hundreds of events at beautiful venues throughout San Diego. We’re totally unique, guests love us, and the music we provide is something special. Here’s why: We’re a wind quintet, composed of flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, and bassoon. That mix creates a sound that’s elegant, colorful, and pleasantly unexpected if you’ve only ever heard strings. We believe live music should make people feel something, whether that's nostalgia (hello Mozart), joy (Disney & Pixar), or excitement (Star Wars & Broadway). Audiences love hearing familiar music in a way they’ve never heard it before. We also have range. We play classical, film scores, jazz standards, Broadway, pop, holiday, and cultural selections from around the world. We’ve seen grandparents light up at Beethoven, kids grin at cartoon themes, and entire rooms relax into a smooth jazz set. It’s classy without being stiff, unique without being weird, and warm without being loud. Most importantly, we’re easy to work with. We’re friendly, flexible, punctual, and collaborative.
