Josh Black, Baritone Opera Singer from San Francisco, CA

I am a professional baritone available for your next wedding, party, church service, or other special event. Originally from Salt Lake City, I have lived in San Francisco since 2007 and part time in San Diego since 2021. I have sung professionally with Oakland Symphony Chorus, West Edge Opera, Volti, Chalice Consort, Lyric Opera Kansas City, Tulsa Opera, Light Opera Oklahoma, and Cimarron Circuit Opera Company, as well as countless weddings, funerals, church and synagogue services, and special concerts. I am a co-owner and Director of Finance for Piccola Carolers, a Victorian costumed Christmas caroling company which employs over 25 singers to perform in quartets at parties, shopping centers, and tree lightings around the Bay Area each holiday season. I have also been a professional church musician for the past 20 years, and I'm currently the bass section leader at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Burlingame, CA. I have a large repertoire of baritone and tenor selections that would be appropriate for any occasion, and I am happy to suggest something from my list or learn a new piece if you already have a favorite. I read music at an expert level and learn music very quickly, so I am also happy to fill in at the last minute to cover for illnesses and other cancellations.
