Maricel Sison's career in photography began in the ever-evolving independent music scene of Los Angeles, where she was called upon to capture moments featuring musical icons such as Stevie Wonder, Raphael Saadiq, Kool Herc, and Biz Markie. Hosting portrait sessions for artists such as France's DJ Cam and snapping shots for labels from coast to coast, LA's Stones Throw and Brooklyn's Bastard Jazz imprints are also amongst Maricel's clientele. Aside from the music, Maricel's interest in fashion has led her to work with websites which include Smarter and Racked LA as a street style photographer and to also cover all things from fashion events to boutique openings.
