Hi . Thanks for your interest. I am primarily a pianist, but I also lead small groups- duos, trios and quartets featuring various blends of instrumentalists and vocalists. I've played in the Chicago area for decades, from conventions at McCormick place to family homes. By memory I perform from a repertoire of classical, jazz, standards and great "important" tunes from the sixties 70's and 80's. I vary the mixture of material depending on the event and the demographics of the audience. I've performed for Margaret Thatcher, JFK jr, the Daley's, in blues bands, etc and was the full time house pianist for both the Drake Chicago and The Ritz-Carlton Chicago for twenty years. Or so. I can play on a provided piano (already at the venue) bring my own electric piano and amplification system (and it does sound very good) or have pianos, up to full size grand pianos, delivered. Chicago Magazine reviewed my performance at the Ritz Carlton (and I am much better now) as "....as comfortable with Cole Porter as he is with Chopin, is excellent, and his performance is joyous". I am a very professional pianist who loves to play. This is a long way from the first years of "gigging", not my first rodeo, but I love to play and do a great job of it.
