Michael K. Ross Pianist from Richmond, VA

Accomplished and formally trained pianist profilic in all genres of church music with over 20 years of professional tenure. Well trained in piano, Ross recieved piano studies in the stellar music department at Virginia Commonwealth University. Currently serves as the principle accompanist at Fifth Street Baptist Church in Richmond, VA. He is well-versed in the various sub-genres of church music as in anthem, spirituals and gospel. In November 2008, Ross released a solo piano CD titled "Hymnology - Hymns from a Piano Perspective," which is a collection of standard church hymns postured in a gospel-classical setting on the grand piano. In addition to being a skillful pianist as well as organist, Ross is an accomplished composer with two (2) of his hymn compositions being published in GIA Publications' "African American Heritage Hymnal."
