Booking was 2-days before event. No songs were requested before event, just jazz piano. Once I played a song from a 1938 movie and it was requested that I play more relaxed jazz music, I complied. If I played songs from movies, it was like "As Time Goes By" which most people think of as jazz rather than movie music. The really unfortunate and confusing thing is that I was playing on a "Baby" Grand [5'] and a competing event had piano on a Regular Grand 8' grand, both at the edge of a balcony with sound going into the atrium. I could hardly hear myself, so I know the guests at my event were hearing both at once - very confusing to the ear. I know this was very disappReview by Elizabeth M.

We were hired for 1-hour and provided live music jointly with a DJ. The Bride was an hour late. (2-hours duration--no extra charge). I helped the DJ coordinate his music as he was not familiar with ceremonies and I have done thousands. We did NOT say one word of complaint. The DJ and I and my trumpeter were confused why we weren't kept abreast of any progress & expectation of starting. The music was PERFECT. No wrong notes. We followed the cue of the coordinator to start when the doors opened. We played a Fanfare of the duration of the bride's choice & played "Here Comes the Bride" on cue. It has a short theme & it's not uncommon to repeat it until the bride gets dowReview by Jessica M.

She asked for a refund. I am totally in disbelief. Everything was perfectly coordinated. I did lots of research for music suitable to capella w/o accompaniment. I don't know why she is so displeased. I asked for a copy of the video so I could see what she is talking about. Didn't get it. I always arrive early to coordinate & if unexpected delays in travel. Her mother was hostile the moment we arrived. She had insisted that I travel 250 miles round trip for the rehearsal the previous night. I was booked elsewhere but I always arrive early on the "day of" to go over details. (who complains about "early"). I play 100 weds a year. She probably tried this w/other vendors.Review by Meloney G.

My bid clearly indicated that the deposit of $100 was not refundable within 30-days before the event. This was canceled 2-weeks prior. Because I had a deposit on this gig, I had turned down a 6-hour gig from a repeat valued corporate client for that date. I lost $600 because I don't cancel clients to take a bigger gig. Besides the time I had spent organizing music for Meloney Grasty, I also found, free gratis, another pianist for my corporate client. It would not have been ethical for me to cancel my substitute and take back the corporate gig.Review by Courtney N.

Courtney didn't honor my contract, which she signed, stating I don't play in the rain & I don't do stairs (weight of equipment). Prediction was 70% chance of rain and we drove in rain the whole trip.Equipment is too expensive/irreplaceable. My husband had to carry equipment up 13 steps to a bridge, which was against doctors orders after a 2 heart attacks. Rain started as soon as I started to play. Immediately started to protect my instruments (expecting they would move indoors). They didn't.I didn't expect to be sitting up on a bridge as I can't stand heights. Since they wouldn't budge I played & packed up in a light drizzle. What good is a contract? Not even a tip!Review by Diane D.
