Richard is a classically trained pianist who has performed in the US, Canada, and in Europe. In addition to the concert stage, he has performed in restaurants, lounges, country clubs, for fundraisers, weddings, private parties, corporate events, and black-tie affairs. In addition to his classical repertoire, he plays the glorious standards of Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Richard Rodgers, Irving Berlin, and Harold Arlen. He is also happy to play any special requests you might have. If he does not know a particular piece, he gets the music and learns it. Client satisfaction is something that he takes very seriously. One of the things he does is to to play selections over the phone for clients. This is very helpful for brides that are deciding what to have played during their ceremony. Performing is not just a "job" for him. Music is something that he has a deep love for, and that he wants to share. Most of his business is repeat engagements from very happy clients, their guests, and referrals. Although his preference is to play on a regular (tuned) piano, he will bring a Yamaha 88 key digital keyboard (for an additional charge) for clients that don't have a piano, or if the venue does not have a piano. For clients that desire a singer, violinist, or any other instrument, he has performed with other musicians and would be happy to provide samples and bring other musicians along.
