Ruchell Alexander, Pianist Pianist from Santa Fe, NM

Playing the Classic Early Jazz of the 1920's to the 1940's, for example tunes by Duke Ellington as well as Ragtime by composers like Scott Joplin, Joseph Lamb and James Scott besides his own Ragtime compositions Ruchell is also adept at many Beatles songs, he also specializes in music of the Philippine Islands. Ruchell has been performing solo Piano in the Northern New Mexico area for the past 33 years. He received his formal training through private lessons with Dr. Susan Blinderman in Taos, New Mexico for 9 years and went on to major in Piano performance at the University of North Texas in Denton (1989) and further Jazz studies at Edmonds Community College in North Seattle, Washington (1996-1998).
