This legendary location is designed to cover every requirement a party planner could possibly have. The venue’s administration is dedicated to ensuring every function held here is an absolute success. The Space Here, awe-inspiring architecture can be admired at every turn. Some of the venue’s original structure remains, such as its nostalgic neon sign and bow-truss ceilings. A creative energy flows from entrance to exit with both modern and vintage decor bringing the space to life. Plants are mindfully placed inside and out, giving every room an organic presence that induces a feeling of calm and serenity. The Experience With 5,000 square feet of flexible event space, this venue can host up to 250 guests. A fully equipped state-of-the-art kitchen is available to caterers. The theater can accommodate an array of styles that range vastly from upscale parties to social film-screening evenings. Within these hallowed halls, guests can enjoy an overnight stay in the venue’s first-class accommodation, aptly named Hotel Kim Sing. The Story The story of Kim Sing Theatre begins in 1926. Operating under the name of The Alpine Theatre, this location came from humble beginnings hosting vaudeville shows. By 1939, the venue had taken on a new name as The Carmen Theatre. During this time, the cinema began showing predominantly Spanish-language films. 1943 saw the location become the epicenter of the controversial zoot suit riots. Then, in the 1960s, the venue donned its new, and current name. It soon became a local hot spot, etching itself into the hearts of Los Angeles locals. At the end of the 20th century, William Ford, Harrison Ford’s son, purchased the theater. Renovations brought the building out of the past and into the present. William successfully achieved this while still preserving many key elements that gave the place its unique personality.
