Ryan Painter is a 36 year old small business owner and elected School Trustee in the Greater Victoria School District. He's lived his life going against the grain who lives by one simple rule: to thrive means to live with our fear. This says a lot because at his lowest point, Ryan nearly took his own life. At the age of 22, and after suffering severely with depression and anxiety, it looked like there was no way out. Fortunately, through his connection to friends, family, God, and to a belief that he was meant for something better, Ryan pulled through. He has since worked hard to destigmatize mental illness and be a beacon of hope for men suffering in silence all around the world.
