Quinton Higgins/Voice For Change Public Speaker from Radcliff, KY

Quinton uses his life experience to show people how to face adversity and overcome fears through faith and perseverance.He grew up in an abusive home where drugs and alcohol about destroyed his family.Then at the age of 15, Quinton was involved in one of the world’s worst tragedies.The Carrollton bus crash, which happened May 14th 1988,The nation’s worst drunk driving crash that killed 24 kids and 3 adults.Quinton faced many obstacles in trying to heal, until the age of 33 when he found courage and determination to face his trauma head on through faith and forgiveness.After finding a purpose in becoming a bus driver & trainer and purchasing a bus identical to the bus he and his friends were on that tragic night.Quinton has been traveling ky speaking in schools and many other places sharing his life story,Inspiring people to not let the worst things in life stop them from leaving a legacy of hope despite where they’ve come From or have gone through in life. In 2018 Quinton was nominated and received a WLKY Bell award for his service of sharing his story and changing lives. It’s one of the biggest awards one can receive for serving their community.Quinton continues to serve his community by speaking to soldiers about drug and alcohol abuse, dealing with PTSD, and anxiety. As well as, speaking in addiction and recovery groups. Quinton is a huge advocate for speaking to high school students, especially around prom time.In his Job as a bus driver he chooses to drive one of the toughest routes and has been driving it longer than any other driver.It’s for the alternative school,where kids are sent for fighting and drug use in school.It’s not an easy role to have but Quinton’s moto is love them past their pain because he understands these broken kids because he was them.Quinton has also been a keynote speaker in several different areas such as pupil transportation,In 2014 Quinton was named in school bus fleet magazine as one of 14 most influential drivers in the school bus industry.
