In 2023, I co-authored a research paper with Wayne State University’s Neurology and Behavioral Psychology programs, contributing to the scientific understanding of performance optimization and mental health recovery. My credibility and message carries the weight of lived experience. In 2017, I survived a life-altering car accident. I was hit by a drunk driver while I was parked on the side of the highway about to change a flat tire. That accident caused a severe traumatic brain injury, an eight-day coma, 11 fractured bones, a lacerated liver, a dislocated jaw, a torn medial meniscus, PTSD, an emergent mood disorder, and substance abuse challenges. After 18 months of intensive rehabilitation, I achieved full recovery by leveraging low-cost and accessible tools (i.e. growth mindset, breathwork, cold exposure, mindfulness, exercise, goal setting and nutrition). I’ve risen stronger than ever before and have made it my mission to inspire others to transform adversity into advantage. In other words, take the devils work and turn it into God's blessings. I have delivered high-impact workshops and seminars across the country for professional athletes and collegiate level sports teams, high school athletes, corporate groups, universities, rehabilitation centers, and mental health clinics.
