I’m always amazed at how great conversation skills can control a situation. Whether it’s a President, a CEO, a car salesman, a news reporter, a teacher, or a nervous young man on a first date, the “gift of gab” can be essential. Of course, we all have our topics that we control. Ideas that we mold like a potter with his clay. Knowledge itself can be the foundation of any great learning moment. That’s why when people talk about car engines, poker, and 18th century music, I usually shut up. Yet, I do have moments. Topics that I can share and educate, backed by experience and learning.
