Penny and the Flamethrowers Cover Band from Dallas, TX

Penny and the Flamethrowers is not your typical cover band. They are a rockabilly explosion paying homage to rockabilly queens past and present. They feature everything on the play list from Elvis to The Toadies and will even mix in a little country if it dances right. The group is fronted by an actual 50s and 60s era pin-up model, Penny Ruffles. She is a little naughty and a whole lotta nice. She became the singing pin up and put together a rockin band called the Flamethrowers. Penny and the Flamethrowers were honored in February of 2020 to be the official after party band for the Rev. Horton Heat concert at House of Blues Dallas. They have also performed at Arlington Music Hall and was the headlining act at the Plano Wine and Food Festival. The band is Penny Ruffles (Amber Watkins) The Flamethrowers are Robert "Showtime" Gutierrez -- Saxophone "Uncle" Jerry Farmer -- Bass, vocals Chris "Cruz Pino" Irpino -- drums, vocals Daren "Big D" Watkins -- guitar, vocals.
