Santa Ross – A Little Christmas Spirit Goes a Long Way I'm Santa Ross, a real-bearded Santa from Marshfield, Massachusetts, bringing Christmas Spirit to families, businesses, and community events throughout the South Shore, Greater Boston, and beyond. I first put on the red suit back in 1987, and one thing I've learned is that you never quite know what to expect when Santa walks into a room. Some children come running, ready to tell me everything on their Christmas list. Others hang back, trying to decide whether this fellow in the red suit is really worth talking to. And sometimes it's the adults who have the most questions! That's part of what I enjoy about being Santa. Every visit is a little different, and some of the best moments are the ones nobody planned. It's About More Than the Pictures Of course, everyone wants a picture with Santa, and I'm happy to pose for as many as time allows. But I think the conversations and interactions are just as important. I enjoy hearing what children have to say, answering their questions about the North Pole, and occasionally sharing a story or two. You never know what a child is going to ask Santa, and that's half the fun. Not every child is ready to sit with Santa, and that's perfectly fine. Some prefer to stand nearby, wave from across the room, or just watch for a while. I let children approach at their own pace. A successful visit doesn't always mean getting everyone onto Santa's lap for a photograph. And Santa isn't just for children. Whether it's a company holiday party, a restaurant full of families, or a gathering of friends, there's plenty of Christmas Spirit to share with the grown-ups, too. Where Can Santa Ross Visit? Family Visits and Christmas Eve Santa can stop by your home to visit with the children, hear their Christmas wishes, take family photographs, and perhaps deliver a few wrapped gifts you've provided. Christmas Eve visits are especially popular, giving children one last chance to see Santa before his big night. Holiday Parties and Corporate Events From small office celebrations to larger company events, Santa can greet guests, mingle, pose for photographs, distribute gifts, and add something special to the festivities. Every event is different, and I'm happy to discuss what works best for yours. Restaurants and Country Clubs Breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner with Santa is a great way to bring families together. I can visit tables, spend time with children, and take photographs with guests. I've found that adults are often just as eager to get their picture with Santa as the kids. Photography Sessions I work with professional photographers and studios for holiday mini sessions and family portraits. My role is to interact naturally with the children and families so the photographer can capture those smiles, expressions, and little moments that make great Christmas photographs. Community Events and Celebrations Tree lightings, parades, neighborhood gatherings, charitable events, and other community celebrations are all part of what Santa does. I enjoy being involved in events that bring people together, especially during the Christmas season. Something a Little Different? Have an idea that doesn't fit neatly into one of these categories? Let's talk about it. Santa has been known to make some unusual appearances over the years. I'm also a legally ordained wedding officiant and can perform wedding ceremonies as Santa. A Few Things Worth Knowing I have a real beard and provide my own Santa wardrobe. For larger events requiring a dedicated Santa photo area, I can provide a Santa chair and an 8' x 10' holiday backdrop for an additional fee, depending on the venue and event requirements. Mrs. Claus may be available for an additional fee, subject to scheduling. I carry performer liability insurance and can provide a Certificate of Insurance when needed. I'm based in Marshfield and regularly travel throughout the South Shore, Greater Boston, and surrounding Massachusetts communities. I'm also available for select events in Southern New Hampshire and parts of Rhode Island, depending on the event and travel requirements.
