About Vendor

I make an excellent choice as supporting musician for DJ engagements and will play either with a band of three to five pieces (including myself), or as a soloist or with a backing track, making it sound as though I am playing with a trio, quartet, or quintet at a fraction of the cost! I can make any vocalist sound even better, having played with the very best. I am quite versatile. I can play standards, pop, jazz, R&B, etc. My hourly rates are negotiable. Since we live in Bushland, traveling to any venue in Amarillo or Canyon is a snap. While in high school, I had the honor of playing tenor sax with the very first New Jersey All-State Jazz Band. During that same timeframe, I was given the opportunity to play with jazz icon, drummer Joe Morello of the Dave Brubeck Quartet. I performed with New Jersey's Garden State Band until going off to undergraduate college, where I joined a local trio, playing music for all occasions. As a full-time law school student, I played with the South Street Rhythm & Blues (with lead guitarist and close friend, Jim Miller, formerly of the Saturday Night Live Band, and the Ohio Northern University Jazz Ensemble. I was privileged to have performed with the Johnny Carson Tonight Show drummer, Ed Shaughnessy. When stationed in Oahu, Hawaii while serving as a US Navy JAG Corps Officer and Special Assistant US Attorney, I played lead alto sax with the Honolulu Jazz Band, while also enjoying private lessons with Lew Tabakin (the splashy tenor man on Doc Severinsen's Tonight Show band). I play a variety of woodwind instruments, including tenor, soprano, alto, baritone, and sopranino saxophones, as well as several flutes — concert C standard flute and Eb alto flute. Nowadays, I focus mostly on the tenor but can bring all or some of my horns, depending upon the gig, as well as singing various jazz standards. While in New Jersey, as owner and chief attorney of Romanowski Law Offices, I performed with Barbara Harris, formerly lead singer with “The Toys.” She made famous the hit single, “A Lovers Concerto” (a pop piece based on Bach's Minuet) and “Attack;” both “Top Ten” favorites.
