Giancarlo Trotti is a freelance saxophonist based in the DC and DMV areas and he studied music at the American University School of Arts and Sciences in Washington, DC. He performs regularly for a variety of events including, but not limited to, corporate functions, birthday parties, engagement parties, wedding receptions and art galleries. He has a wide variety of music in his setlist, some samples of which can be viewed on his YouTube channel @GiancarloTrotti. In 2024, Giancarlo performed with the prestigious wedding band known as the Original Moonlighters. Additionally, he regularly cohosted and performed in open mic nights at the former Tight Five Pub in Adams Morgan, DC in 2023. Giancarlo is also an instructor at Expressions Music Academy and Music & Arts with additional teaching experience at Middle C Music, International School of Music and Bach to Rock. Over the last nine years, Giancarlo has performed in a multitude of ensembles including the American University (AU) Jazz Orchestra, the AU Saxophone Quartet, the AU Chi Alpha Campus Ministries Band, the AU Symphonic Band, the NYC All City Marching Band, and the prestigious NYC All City Jazz Band. In his spare time, Giancarlo frequently writes and composes original lyrics and music. Most of all, he enjoys entertaining with the hope of introducing his listeners to a newfound passion for the saxophone and the energy and mood it inevitably creates. As an impassioned musician, Giancarlo enjoys performing with a diverse and exciting set list and sharing his skills with audiences throughout the DC area.
