Maintained Several Year Long+ Live Residencies Twitch Affiliate since May 2021 ABOUT ME Before moving to Jersey City in the late 00’s, C. Robert Smith (aka Chris / “Crobert” ) hailed from the fabled Asbury Park area of the Garden State. In his youth, he absorbed the seaside culture, the mixing pot of sounds, and the storied lore of his state’s heroes that gave his home its reputation. Though, some of his fondest memories centered around listening to the popular music of his parents’ generation from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s which was always playing in the house or on car trips. However, he only first started playing music at the age of 12, sparking a relationship that has now spanned over two decades. After years of private instruction and performing in groups as small as his friends’ garage bands to large jazz productions, C.Robert was accepted to the Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA in 2003. After returning home to the Jersey shore, C.Robert took his years of education and experience out and began to play out again, performing his own original compositions along with various groups. In 2010, C.Robert moved to Jersey City and became an original member of the band Sylvana Joyce and the Moment, a group with which he remains a part of to this day, while continuing to write and perform his own original material These days, he and his now wife, Sylvana, have continued to collaborate in each others’ projects, touring, recording, and playing gigs throughout the tri-state area, often featuring an ever-growing list of popular music from all genres. Most recently, both were featured as co-composers for “The Last Match,” a pro-wrestling rock musical featuring international broadway star Ramin Karimloo along with former WWE star, Matt Cardona, releasing an album in the summer of 2022, selling out multiple nights at Jersey City’s famous White Eagle Hall, and winning 11 Broadway World Awards including “Best Musical,” “Best New Musical,” and “Best Music Direction and Orchestra.”
