I've won numerous awards for writing and if your occasion calls for it, I can provide a song for the event using customized lyrics to a well known song or a completely original piece. Hitt has been twice voted Best Acoustic Musician by the readers of the Pittsburgh City Paper. He was the winner of the New Folk Competition at the New Jersey Folk Festival and his song, "Tracy Loves Ray" was named Best Song in the Canadian Narrative Music Contest where he also received Honorable mention for his song, "Through The Window". Jay has won Best Song awards on Songwriter Universe and In 2015, Jay impressed audiences as part of the Emerging Artist Showcase at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival as well as at the Clearwater Folk Festival in New York.
