John Gray, Guitarist/Singer Songwriter Singer Guitarist from McMinnville, OR

I have been making beautiful music, entertaining people and honing my musical skills and repertoire for more that 50 years. If I had to describe my style, it would include folk, country, bluegrass, and original fingerpicking acoustic guitar instrumentals. I play guitar, dobro and mandolin, and have been playing those instruments for Oregon Old Time Fiddlers for the last year in central Oregon, at jams, dances, open mics and local events in and around Prineville, Oregon. My primary instrument is acoustic guitar. I just moved to McMinnville, played at a couple of venues at Make Music McMinnville (Bierly Brewing and Mac Theatre Marquee), and have been playing regularly at a local bluegrass jam and open mics. Small live music venues with mellow acoustic guitar vocals and instrumentals are my forte. In addition to some original tunes, I play covers from the likes of Bruce Cockburn, Guy Clark, Georg Strait, Bob Dylan, John Denver, John Prine, Kevin Welch, Kieran Kane, Gordon Lightfoot, Simon & Garfunkel, Kate Wolf, Townes Van Zandt and Tom Paxton.
