Christmas PartyReviewed on January 22, 2019From Siren, WI

Steven was a pleasure to be around and interacted very well with the group. He kept them engaged and asked for requests. He started early and played all the way through to the agreed end time.

Private PartyReviewed on August 5, 2013From Shakopee, MN

Steve Earl Howard provided us a great, warm, personal music experience. He performed songs we loved and knew, and "picked" some amazing ol' style Blues. Just a wonderful experience and look forward to having Steve Earl over in the future.

Steven Earl Howard - Hillbilly Music for the Soul was great. They played awesome music and really knew how to keep the energy up in the crowd. We enjoyed them thoroughly. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a bluegrass band.

WeddingReviewed on August 5, 2018From Cambridge, MN

I gave a song list prior to the event and confirmed several times. Dinner was to start around 6 but he arrived over an hour prior. He admitted he was early and assured no problem. The caterer was late and arrived at 6 pm. The guests could not seat until closer to 630pm for dinner which was ok. However Mr. Howard informed had to leave by 7:30! We paid for 1.5 hours of music. He began playing prior to guests being in the room. I was in the restroom bustling my gown when I heard a song being played that I requested special for the groom and I. He did not play my song list or deliver the experience that was discussed and planned. I wished I chose another option.

:

Fiction. I performed every single minute listed in the contract plus I started about 25-30 minutes early. The problem was the bride arranged for lengthy picture taking. And many of the guests either departed or the ones that stayed for dinner didn’t enter the room until I had about 30 minutes left. I played every single song on the list and repeated the ones I had to learn for scratch for the bride and groom. I finished right on time, not early. I asked the groom was the music OK? He responded with an emphatic yes! Bride never sent anyone over to tell me what order to do the songs in. I’m sure I got in all the special requested tunes.

Nursing Home EventReviewed on June 23, 2023From Minneapolis, MN

This entertainer did not know his words, played the music badly and off key. I was totally embarrassed by his performance and HAPPY that my director was not here that day. I have owned 9 nightclubs, bars and concert venues over the past 30 years and have booked literally THOUSANDS of acts and entertainers. He was, hands down one of if not THE worst act I have booked. I had him quit 15 minutes early because the residents wanted to go back to their rooms.

I started 15 minutes early because I was set up and ready to go.
