I'm mesmi, a professional musician and recording artist who specializes in heartfelt, feel-good music. I play acoustic guitar and piano/keys, as well as sing a number of styles, and have performed a number of places, from public city events to private concerts. While I write all my own original songs, I also enjoy doing covers, and I am even able to write a unique song for your special occasion. Having lived all across the U.S., as well as having lived and traveled around the world from Asian to Africa to Europe, mesmi's music draws from a rich tapestry of sounds and experiences. She recently released her debut EP and two follow-up singles, with music magazines describing her original work as "melodic and soulful," "a roller-coaster from high-energy peaks to calm ethereal valleys ... one of the musical highlights of the year" and "addictively creative" with "a gorgeous voice." She has been playing music for over 20 years, and since her solo debut just a few years ago has performed at a number of renowned L.A. venues including the Hollywood House of Blues and the Silverlake Lounge. Drawing most strongly from influences in pop, soul and folk, mesmi has said, "I get my pop sensibilities from the 90s, my sense of songwriting from the 70s and other touches from everything between Beethoven and Otis Redding and Queen."
