I am Nicky DePaola ... Recording Artist/Entertainer aka " Nicky D" I started my quest for making a living at doing what I love in 1985. Singing and entertaining is what I was meant to do with my life! Growing up in the east bay in the soulful era of the 70's and 80's, I was drawn to the great acts such as the " Motown" sound and Hall & Oates and all the Icon's before that time such as Sinatra and Elvis Presley! ( Who I did get to see in my younger years "Live" in Lake Tahoe & Reno showrooms!). I worked at The Peppermill Hotel & Casino, where I was voted by Reno Magazine in 02' as best lounge act! Whatever the venue calls for, " NICKY D. ENTERTAINMENT" will make it extra special. I also act as emcee and make sure the "flow" of the event is smooth. I have worked at over 1,200 weddings, alone since 85'! I love the joy of the day of a wedding. I know how to keep that positive energy of bringing two families and all their friends together with the power of music and etiquette. Entertainment is my life! I also perform at many wonderful venues in Napa, Ca. I only book 1 (One) event a day, so I can focus on the details of that special get together! As a songwriter & recording artist, I have produced five projects since 96' ..I have been on the radio nationwide and also made the A/C charts in 2000 with two of my songs making the A/C Top 40! I have entertained at the world famous Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach for an event with over 5,000+ in attendance in August of 01', other venues like The Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay, just to name a few of my favorite gigs! I also sing our National Anthem at The Oakland Coliseum for the Oakland A's every season since 06', that's one of the biggest thrills for me as a vocalist!
