Born Fred Thomas Mashburn on April 26, 1979 in Andrews N.C. and moving from Hanging Dog FL, to Northeastern Georgia at the age of 2, and coming from a background of southern roots and a somewhat traumatizing childhood. Rapper and Producer Fred Mashburn or "Tommy" as known by family and friends brings a fresh and exciting outlook on modern Hip Hop Music. Moving from trailer park to apartment complexes through out Blairsville Ga. to Hiawassee Ga., Tommy was a victim of both Physical and Sexual abuse. The last of which was brought to the attention of the Department of Family and Children Services by a Special Education teacher who had become close with the 8 year old and became somewhat involved in his safety and well being. This action led to the abuse he would soon receive from an undisclosed group of individuals, which resulted in the traumatizing and embarrassing incident being publicized in the local courts as well as the Northeast Georgian Newspaper Publication. Tommy, age 8 at the time of the incident, was relocated and placed under the supervision of his sister who had confirmed the reports of abuse and agreed to take on the responsibility of parenthood and guardianship for the child. The result of his story being known in the surrounding counties led to constant bullying and hazing from his peers and schoolmates. Emotional stress was a constant throughout his time in public educational institutions. In 1998 Tommy made the decision to drop out of high school and pursue a GED, rather then attend the nightmare he was experiencing in a place that should have been a point of safety for the troubled youth. In 2003 the young college student attending Gaston Community College in Gastonia N.C., was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the intoxication and influence of alcohol after a severe vehicle accident which resulted in partial brain damage to the right frontal lobe. His eventual arrest when being released from the hospital led to an alcoholism evaluation which resulted in the discovery of a Schizoaffective Disorder with Symptoms of Bipolar Disease diagnosis. Tommy was prescribed anti-psychotropic and anti-depressant medication. In 2004 he began to take interest in a musical career after being influenced heavily by rap artists such as Eminem, Twiztid, Lil Wyte, Q-Strange and many others. The 19 year old, who had previously spent most of his life in silence and solitude from the outside world picked up a microphone and discovered his greatest love and most valuable talent. Adopting the nickname "Tommy Havok" derived from the "Protector of Time and Space", he projected his life experiences and tribulations through writing lyrics and poems and eventually decided to pursue a career in the musical arts. However, as apparent through many of his songs, the music produced by the young lyricist told stories of pain, anger, violence and rage. Havok began a long journey down a very dark, morbid and dangerous road. In 2007 Havok faced his greatest torment that will probably be existent for the rest of his life in a troubled and emotionally abusive marriage which resulted in both divorce and the permanent loss of his 2 children, Jaccob Thomas who was 3 years old at the time and Jenna Elizabeth, age 18 months. Nova disappeared from the music scene for 5 years in mourning and the pain of losing his most precious possessions, The love of a child. Havok recorded 1 last song to say goodbye to his art form entitled "When You Come Home", which is still unreleased, however loved by thousands of fans who discovered the track through undisclosed means. Havok's future, which seemed undecided and grim, took a turn for the better on October 4, 2011 in the form of a woman who would later become his eternal partner in life, as well as his spouse and mother of his 3rd child Logan Landon born September 7, 2012. Havok decided it was time to once again, pick up a microphone and begin his long awaited continuation, into the world of Modern Rap music. Havok is currently in the process of writing and producing his second Rap album entitled "Monster" in his home studio in Toccoa, Ga. slotted to be released in TBA 2014. Havok has came a long way since the days of hate, violence and rage, he now aspires to be a mainstay in Modern Urban Hip Hop. Havok wants to share one inspirational message: "You have to live to really see how the world works, it isn't always fun and more then not it is downright painful, but at the end of the day, it is really only about one thing, who you are, what you stand for and how you want the world to see you...they are always watching...young and old...be yourself, be real...and I promise you will be amazing!"
