Whether you need just quiet acoustic guitar and vocals with or without backing tracks, instrumental jazz guitar, or one man band electric classic rock and blues, Bob Semanchik can adapt to your needs. Professional Background: Bob is a graduate of Western Connecticut State College where he earned his Bachelors in Music Ed. It was there he studied 4 years of classical guitar, two of them with the noted teacher/guitarist Alexander Bellow. He has currently held the guitar and bass studies chair at The University of New haven for over 15 years. He has also been teaching guitar, bass, and piano out of his studio in Naugatuck Ct. for over 20 years. He has been a member of the Bales Gitlin wedding and society music band since 1993. He also performed weddings and events around the Waterbury Ct. area with the Marty Q Trio from 1998 to 2005. It was wonderful working with Bob and we look forward to having him back at our restaurant in the future. He was very accommodating with changing plans when the weather did not cooperate. If our restaurant was a boat it would have sank because although it was not a busy Friday night, the majority of our guests wanted to sit on the side of the restaurant where Bob was playing!

Bob exceeded expectations at my 50th birthday party! He showed up with plenty of time to set up and brought an amazing array of equipment, including a terrific Bose sound system and 3 guitars, all of which he put to a very good use! During 2 hours, Bob's music blended in very well, sounded great and created a very nice atmosphere at my party under a tent in my backyard on a beautiful sunny day. Ranging from some background drop that allowed for entertaining conversations with friends, to themes that I asked him to play and sing, Bob draw well deserved rounds of applause. I could not have chosen a better addition to my party and definitely recommend Bob.

Bob was a great addition to our family party. It was a perfect match for our event. We just wanted to have some nice background music to our party. Bob did a great job and we would recommend him! He is a nice guy too!
