Daughter of the KING Singing Pianist from Woodland Hills, CA

My name is Crystal Pourfarid I am the President & CEO of Daughter of the KING Entertainment. I am a self-contained professional singer-songwriter, pianist, vocal trainer, and performer who has been in the recording industry for many years. Now accepting students online and in person! I'm native to the Washington, D.C. and Maryland area. I come from a multi-talented and musical family. In my home, I was exposed to a plethora of genres of music including gospel, jazz, and rock. My desire for playing piano started at age 5 years old. I've been inspired by my mother, Shelia Davis (of the Shelia Davis Trio) who's also a professional pianist in Washington D.C. My sisters who are vocalists, lyricists & musicians, and with my brother John Davis who is a professional bass and guitar player. In my teen years, my family and I performed at various venues of church functions and banquets halls in Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia. I had a teen youth choir in D.C. at the young age of 16. I relocated to Los Angeles in 1982 to finish my last year of high school at Santa Monica High School. On weekends in the midst of my studies, I directed a teen youth choir at a local Los Angeles church at age 17. I relocated to L.A. in pursuit of a career as a recording artist with my sisters Sharon and Shelia Davis. We performed R&B music in many venues in L.A. I branched off as a solo artist in 1989 and established Daughter of the KING Entertainment in 2005. I have performed as a professional keyboardist & vocalist for countless events and venues and have performed on local T.V., on Time Warner. I have and continue to provide vocal & musical studio support as a keyboardist & vocalist for the various musical artist and different music genre San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles as a solo artist at small concerts & venues. My experience includes entertaining for convalescent homes, wedding parties, and birthdays for adults and children. My performances include two local television gospel channels on Time Warner Network. I've also produced music background on a children's DVD for Sharon Davis. I've done a business promotional performance @ WOW Beauty as Crystal aka Daughter of the KING (accompanied by professional Congo player Hamid Cooper.) I'm currently a vocal coach and working on many different music projects and my professional music career.
