John Grecia is the all-encompassing pianist/vocalist - performing covers and original music in the Philadelphia region for 23+ years; playing over 150 shows a year. Bringing a vast repertoire to the table - John has a playlist featuring over 3,500 songs from the early 20th century to the most current-day artists. In addition, for more formal settings - a full palette of classical (organ or piano) and jazz pieces are available. Specializing in the songs of Billy Joel, Elton John, The Beatles, and Bruce Springsteen - a short list of additional covered artists includes: The Rolling Stones, David Gray, Counting Crows, Neil Diamond, Ed Sheeran, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Marc Cohn, The Doors, Sting, The Killers, Peter Gabriel, Paul Simon, Ryan Adams, U2, Coldplay, Neil Young, Tom Waits, R.E.M., Tom Petty, Randy Newman, Bruce Hornsby, Van Morrison, Jackson Browne, The Grateful Dead, and Dave Matthews Band. Available for corporate events, private parties, weddings (ceremony, cocktail hour, and/or reception), bar/restaurants, college events, etc. * Complete Artist/Song list available at client's request * Duo (piano + guitar), Trio (piano+guitar+drums), and Full Band options available Classical Bio: John Grecia, Conductor, is the Director of Music Ministries at Wayne Presbyterian Church. He has an active career as a conductor, pianist, organist, and educator in the Philadelphia region. John became Director of Music Ministries at Wayne Presbyterian Church in January 2024, directing the Wayne Oratorio Society, Chancel Choir, and serving as primary organist. Formerly, he held the position of Director of Choral Music at Saint Joseph’s University, Thomas Jefferson University (East Falls), and St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Ardmore, PA. Additionally, he is the long-time pianist/accompanist for The Crossing, the 3-time Grammy award winning, Philadelphia-based, professional choir dedicated to commissioning/ performing new and socially conscious choral music. Through The Crossing, he has had the opportunity to work with internationally renowned organizations such as the N.Y. Philharmonic, L.A. Philharmonic and The Rolling Stones, and he has formed connections with composers writing on the cutting edge of the art from both the local and international stage. On the other side of the musical coin, John is a professional pianist, vocalist, songwriter, and frequent performer, working in the Philadelphia pop/rock music scene for the past three decades. He holds a B.S. in Music Education and a M.M. in Choral Conducting from West Chester University.
