Nick Wolford is a worship leader, with a home church based in Jackson, Ohio. While not initially attending church, Nick became involved at the age of 13 when a friend convinced him to go to Jackson First Assembly of God. Never looking back, Nick has been involved in leading worship for almost a decade, playing at a number of churches in the area. Since then, Nick has moved to college in Morehead, Kentucky, where he has taken up a worship leader position at the Church of the Nazarene, where he currently leads worship. Nick's playing style is very heartfelt, pulling styles from musicians such as Chris Tomlin, Hillsong United, Jason Upton, and a personal friends, Clay Webb and Greg Dempsey. He believes that simplicity in worship is often the best path to heartfelt, authentic worship. Nick is a 20-year-old worship leader from Jackson, Ohio. While young, his musical experience is not to be underestimated. Nick is a student at Morehead State University, located in the hills of Kentucky. Nick is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with an emphasis on voice. Nick's plans for the future are primarily based around teaching high school choir upon graduation. Nick's theatrical involvement include several productions, including Oklahoma!, A Little Night Music, as well as scenes from Guys and Dolls. Nick also has several musical accomplishments, including participation with Jackson High School Choir and Jackson High School Bands at District and State Contest, where both received the top rating. More recently, Nick also toured Ireland with Morehead State University's Concert Choir and Chamber Singers. The Concert Choir, which is a group open to all, one first place in their category at the Mayo International Choral Festival, and the Chamber Singers, the audition group, won the first place grand prize at the festival. Mick has been musically successful in his 10 years of playing. He began playing guitar at Jackson First Assembly of God around age 13, continuing on to transition into playing piano, and eventually leading a worship team there. Moving into his later teenage years, Nick continued to play at his home church, and several other churches in the region, including Jackson Church of the Nazarene, and High Praise Ministries along with the worship leader there, Clay Webb. Nick now currently leads worship at Mt. Sterling Church of the Nazarene during the school years, and frequently plays at High Praise Ministries and Jackson First Assembly of God when he is home during the summer months.
