Dewayne is a DC-based standup comedian, producer, and standup comedy instructor. He’s a combat-wounded veteran who served in the Army for 23 years. Much of his humor is drawn from his unique take on his military experience, his life as a husband and father, and the general ridiculousness of life. Dewayne started performing standup with the Armed Services Arts Partnership’s Comedy Bootcamp, a crash course in standup comedy for veterans and family members which he now teaches. Dewayne has worked alongside amazing comedians like Josh Blue, Jackie Kashian, Ryan Niemiller, Tony Woods, PJ Walsh, Mark Normand, Sal Vulcano, and many others. Dewayne was a finalist in the "Last DC Comic Standing” and Magooby’s Joke House’s comedian of the year competition. He also produces shows throughout the DMV (DC/MD/VA) area. He can work as clean as you need or he can cover more adult themes. If you prefer, Dewayne has a long list of hilarious friends and can bring them along as well!

Dewayne was awesome!!! He came out for my husband's 40th birthday party and everyone had a great laugh. Our family and friends were so impressed by his jokes and it was honestly such a good time had by all!! I would definitely recommend Dewayne.

Not enough words to thank Dewayne for coming to our corporate event for very weary staff gearing up for another school year. He quickly responded to a last minute request, was punctual, professional, clean language (with an allowed innuendo or two) so everyone felt comfortable. It was so great to see everyone laugh and nod their head in agreement. The extra bonus was his friend PT who was icing on the cake. I could not more highly recommend Dewayne (and PT if available) - they definitely were worth the money and opportunity in a pretty conservative, diverse environment.

Dewayne amplified the theme of our “comedy night” corporate event by 100!! He and his team were engaging, sensitive to content without losing entertainment value, and completely amazing!!
