Based in Charleston, South Carolina, Nick has performed all across the Lowcountry spanning multiple locations and events including: the Charleston Riverdogs, North Charleston Coliseum, weddings on Folly Beach, the Charleston Battery, pool-side parties at Kiawah, Party at the Point, and venues all around town. Incorporating classic Caribbean music (soca, calypso, reggae) as well as hits from the '60's to today, Nick plays a wide variety of music to help keep everyone entertained. His musical study includes a Bachelor's degree in music education as well as a Masters degree in music performance. Nick has also spent time in Trinidad (where the pan was invented) studying alongside Trinis to help develop his technique and his own sound.
As a solo act, Nick will bring his pans, and all the sound equipment necessary for the size of the event. He uses high quality equipment, and professional backing tracks, and can help you get the Caribbean feel and sound you desire for a very affordable rate.
If you are looking for more than a solo steel pan, Nick is also a part of Holy City Steel Collective, a local group of musicians with years of both playing harmoniously together and teaching pan to the youth. This group can range from a duo (pan/guitar), to trio (pan, guitar/bass, drums), to a quartet (pan, second set of pans or guitar/keyboard, bass, and drums). Holy City Steel Collective has played events all across the Lowcountry:
