Super happy I hired Island Sound Music!
Ted is an outstanding musician, and the range of music he played throughout the evening was exceptional.
He knows how to read the crowd and adjust the tempo to match the mood. As guests arrived, he created a welcoming atmosphere with upbeat island music. During dinner, he transitioned seamlessly to casual, lively selections that encouraged conversation. Afterward, he energized the party with a perfect blend of island dance music that had everyone on the dance floor.
Ted was punctual, professional, and an absolute pleasure to work with.
For your party/event, don't look elsewhere—Island Sound is the perfect choice - 5 stars!!

Birthday Party (Adult)•Reviewed on February 11, 2026•From Tecumseh, MI
Ted was the perfect addition to my mom's 60th tropical themed birthday party! He knew so many songs and was so kind and accommodating. Everyone was beyond impressed. He even played happy birthday on the steel drum for my mom and let us use the microphone to make announcements which was a huge plus considering the large size of our venue! If you are looking for beach vibes (EVEN IN THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY) Ted is your man! He brought much needed warmth! You will not regret hiring him for your event or party!

We had Tim for my husband's birthday party. Every guest that was there raved about him, the music and how good he was. He played a wonderful selection of Caribbean and modern music, checked in with us on volume, if we needed anything specific, etc. Extremely nice man and very professional and accommodating. We will absolutely hire him again for any outdoor event we have!
