Hey, my name is Mustafa Alexander, and I’d love the opportunity to perform at your next event. I’m proud to be one of the top steel drum performers in New York, New Jersey, and Long Island, with appearances at high-profile events such as The Anderson Cooper Show. My journey with the steel drum began at a young age, inspired by my father—born in Trinidad & Tobago, the birthplace of the steel pan. His influence sparked my lifelong love for this unique tropical instrument. I went on to study music at Five Towns College and have since traveled the world sharing the vibrant sound of the steel drum. I specialize in live performances for corporate events, weddings, cocktail hours, birthdays, bridal and baby showers, and more. As a one-man band, I bring everything I need: a speaker, microphone, backing tracks (if needed), and of course, the beautiful steel drum. I offer solo acoustic performances, steel drum with backing tracks, or a steel drum and vocalist combo. Most clients find the backing track combo especially fun and dynamic, perfect for setting the mood and getting people smiling.
