Hill Chamber Music was very responsive to my requests and also provided helpful suggestions for music selections. Their playing was excellent; it added significantly to the setting for my husband's memorial service. My pre-performance correspondence with Anna of Hill Chamber Music built my confidence level with the group to the point that I was not at all concerned about their role in my husband's service. I was not disappointed. I highly recommend this group.

The band was wonderful. They showed up dressed for the occasion, and were very cordial amongst all the chaos that ensued on the wedding day. Hill Chamber Music was very talented, and (although they didn't have to) looked like they enjoyed being at the wedding. The band also thanked me for letting them take part in our day. I would highly recommend them.

Working with Anna and Hill Chamber Music was easy, fun, and all around a good experience. They sounded absolutely BEAUTIFUL at my wedding ceremony, and added that extra special touch I was looking for.

Hill Chamber Music was wonderful to work with. As a bride I had so many things to worry about ahead of time but music was not one of them. Anna put together a quartet for us that performed perfectly on our wedding day.

Hill Chamber Music was nothing but professional, from the first initial correspondence, to the final performance. Our wedding, unfortunately, began late, but Hill Chamber assured my coordinator who assured me, "the panicky bride", that there was nothing to worry about and that they would remain for the duration of the program and continue to play exquisitely. The ladies are definitely talented, but unfortuantely they behaved in a most inappropriate way at my wedding. They began 15 minutes earlier than agreed. I did not expect them to continue playing when it began to rain lightly during the ceremony, but even when they retreated to the shelter of the covered gazebo, they did not play on queue. After this, they loudly demanded the balance in front of our guests before the full hour was complete. My wedding coordinator was appalled and only gave them their payments in order to stop further confrontation. I was seriously disappointed in their behavior and I would not recommend them to play for any events.

HCM contests this review. We began playing 15 minutes early at the request of the wedding coordinator, who called us the morning of the event requesting we shift our time. As always, we did our absolute best to salvage the music despite the rain. Every cue was timed perfectly, and it was unfortunate that we missed the short remembrance because it took place while we were moving and setting up under the shelter. Lastly, the accusations from the wedding coordinator are undeniably false. At no time did HCM loudly demand payment in front of guests. From what I got to hear, they sounded very nice. The communication beforehand was great, they were very accommodating to our music requests and all interaction was polite and professional. I heard several comments from guests that there were quite a few breaks in the music and that they packed up and were gone the second the time was up. Overall the music was nice but it was disappointing to hear those comments from our guests. *Update: it's come to my attention that there may have been some miscommunication and confusion. I stand by what I said b/c it's what my guests told me but have changed my rating with this in mind.
