Absolutely beautiful! This group played exactly what I wanted and truly added set the perfect tone for the romantic, outdoor wedding I desired! As a stressed out bride, it took minimal meetings to get on the same page and feel comfortable that they knew exactly what I wanted! Absolutely recommend them!

They were fantastic!! When I arrived to the venue of my wedding the first sound I heard cane from their lovely instruments which calm my nerves. The were very professional, my guest, husband and I love the music. Thank You Southern Maryland String Quartet for making my ceremony & cocktail such a success. I will definitely hire these lovely professions again.

We had a large Holiday/Birthday party at our house, and the string trio played up in the balcony. They did a beautiful job, and gracefully accommodated my change in schedule for the evening.

We had Doug Ellison and his group. They were very good and performed very well. I highly recommend them.
One note of dissatisfaction; their contact person who communicated, arranged and signed the contract with us, led us to believe that she would personally be performing during the event. I gave her a special ethnic sheet music and asked her if she could play that during Recession; she assured me it would be done!!! Only was it the last day when she disclosed she was only a "broker" and not a performer!! Needles to say, she did not give Doug Ellison the sheet music!!!

Vickie was wonderful and easy to work with. Her requests were simple and I enjoyed contracting this event. Early on, she had sent me an email with a short piece of music attached and asked if we could play it. I told her yes, and she said she would get back to me about it. When the final email came with what they wanted for the ceremony, the request wasn't on there and she had a different piece of music requested. I should have followed up about it, but didn't and that was my error. I let her know as well one week prior that I would not be playing that day, not the day of as stated in the review. I'm glad however that they were happy with the music!

Haleigh was a pleasure to work with, and the consummate professional. My wife and I like classical music, but are not very knowledgeable. We basically gave Haleigh the go-ahead to select the music for our wedding. She did a very good job. The guests commented on how great they sounded. We had frequent starts-and-stops for announcements and for other parts of the ceremony/reception. The group took it all in stride. From the guests’ perspective, it was as if we had a well laid out plan, rather than the spontaneous changes that actually took place. I would definitely hire the Capitol String Quartet again. Thanks Haleigh!

Hailey was the best! She communicated with me, coordinated with our soloist, didn't "bother" me when there were SO many other things happening during the hour before the wedding. They played beautifully and all our guests gave them an ovation as they left the church. The Capital Strings added so much to our daughter's wedding and they were not only professional, but I feel like I've made a new friend - that's how easy it was to work with Hailey. First rate!

I cannot say enough fabulous things about The Capitol String Quartet! Haleigh and her group were absolutely wonderful to work with. They were extremely accommodating on song selections and very flexible with the performance times. The quartet played beautifully and I had many guests come up to me after and tell me how lovely the music was for my wedding. I can truly say that the music brought everything together for my ceremony and I am SO glad I went with the quartet. I HIGHLY recommend The Capitol String Quartet for any occasion---you will not be disappointed!
