Beth Mead Swing Band from Elkins Park, PA

I am a band leader who organizes different ensembles to suit specific musical styles. In Front Porch Swing we perform standards from the thirties, fourties and fifties drawing from the American Popular songbook with Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra as our inspiration. I can offer a great jazz duo with sax player Ken Ulansey. Kenny specializes in jazz and world music. He has a great humor and warmth in his stylings. A third acoustic trio includes Wanamaker Lewis and Ron Greenstein and we draw from American jazz, swing and the Chet Atkins songbook. Wanamaker is a legendary fingerstyle and jazz guitarist supported by a great rhythm section and solid vocals. Tookany Creek is a great acoustic bluegrass band. Our vocal harmonies are beautifully designed and executed. Our show is varied and includes fiddle, banjo, bass, guitar, mandolin and ukulele. The material we present includes classic bluegrass and country hits. We can craft tunes to suit your requests and can structure our set lists to for your event. We can perform as a duo, trio or quartet.
