Parisian Party Theme
About the Theme
Even though your little one won’t remember it, a 1st birthday party is a fun excuse to get friends and family together. This Parisian-themed 1st birthday party features an adorable kids’ table, complete with mini centerpieces and place settings, alongside equally chic tables for the grown-ups.
And don’t even get us started on the dessert bar. It’s a thing of beauty! Macarons and custom cookies are on display next to towers of roses and white chocolate-dipped strawberries, complete with a cascading floral background. Très chic!
OCCASION: 1st Birthday Party
SIMILAR THEMES: Peter Rabbit
If you have both kids and adults in attendance, it’s a good idea to host in a venue that has plenty of space for the kiddos to run around while parents can sit back and socialize.
DIY Hot Cocoa Bar
A hot chocolate or coffee bar would fit into this theme perfectly. If you’re going the hot cocoa route, serve French hot chocolate (aka chocolat chaud) which is a thicker, richer drink than a standard hot cocoa in the US. For coffee, have espresso and noisette (essentially a French macchiato) on the menu.
And of course, nothing says “birthday” like cake! This confection is customized with the birthday girl’s name, and topped with light pink macarons as a nod to the party theme.
