I enjoy playing with ensembles or solo, and my experience and musical passion will help make your event a success. Always professional, I will strive to play precisely what you request, and will usually toss in some suggestions as well. My experience with large and small ensembles continues to increase my expertise, confidence, and knowledge of various genres, pieces, and composers. I particularly enjoy Classical, Dixieland, Big Band Swing, and Broadway tunes. Past gigs range from concerts, weddings, holidays, and other religious services to background music for malls and birthday parties, special openings, and arts festivals. Venues range from the Montreux Jazz Festival's outdoor stage to New York City's Waldorf-Astoria Hotel to Washington, D.C.'s Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, Library of Congress, and Arlington National Cemetery to dozens of Maryland, D.C., Virginia, and Delaware stages, churches, and orchestra pits. I am detail oriented and enjoy learning as much as I can about your event right away, if possible. Beyond the music style and event duration, I always appreciate knowing about such specifics as: Dress code, travel and/or parking options, special access to the venue, warm-up space, and those all-important cues (either aural and visual) for when to start and stop playing, if necessary.
