Coming Up Brass, or The CUB Band, is a 10 piece group of very experienced musicians who play for the love of the music. When it comes to music trust us, size does matter. With our 10 pieces we create a huge sound other bands just can't match! We've been performing in and around the Charlotte, NC area for over 20 years at events such as Corporate and Private Parties, Weddings, Community Festivals, Beach Blasts, Alive After 5's and others. Over that time we've built a loyal following of fans who one year even voted us the Creative Loafing Readers Pick "Best Local Band for Dancing", and for that we say THANK YOU! For those of you who've not heard us our strong horn section, rockin' rhythm section, and killer vocals will knock you out! And it's all live, no sequencing, we're playing every note. We have had more comments on how great the band was than any other part of the reception. We were a little worried because we had a lot of people in from outside this area that have never heard of beach music, but everyone loved it. We are so glad we did not get a DJ. CUB played for four hours and the dance floor was full the whole time and would have stayed that way as long as the band would have played. We could not have made a better choice.
