Ginger Leigh has been on the stage since her first band at the age of 9. Hailing from the 5th generation of musicians & performers in her family, Ginger knows how to entertain! Straight Up is a 9-piece jazz variety show with Ginger at the helm. The ensemble can be smaller, depending on the client's needs. Ginger Leigh also has her original band and has released 10 albums and has touring internationally almost all of her career. Straight Up with a Ginger Twist is like Etta James meets Bette Midler. With powerful vocals, emotive delivery and a wit that brings a smile to everyone in the audience, Ginger manages to move seamlessly between styles and genres. The ensemble is made up of music director, Isaac Peña, on trumpet, three additional horns, upright bass, drums, guitar and piano. Ginger Leigh played Maureen in RENT at Austin's top theatre company, Zach Theatre.
