Mike Hudson is a premier saxophonist. He has entertained audiences with his soulful saxophone interpretations for decades. Performing songs from the "Great American Songbook" to the contemporary "Smooth Jazz" sounds of the present, which includes "Pop" and "R&B" standards of today. Michael Hudson was born in Detroit Michigan during the height of the Motown Sound. Along with the hot Jazz scene that was thriving in Detroit, Mike was destined for saxophone majesty. Being influenced by these two genres of music gave Mike the diversity to mesmerize audiences throughout the U.S. and Canada. Mike has performed with and /or shared the stage with artists such as Martha and the Vandellas, The Floaters, Enchantment, George Benson, Ramsey Lewis, Marcus Belgrave, Kenny Garret, The Dells, The Intruders, The Delphonics, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Time, War, James Carter and a host of other artists from a variety of genres, including his own award winning Chicago vocal group Groove Dynasty. Mike has spent many years as a solid entertainer in the city and metropolitan area of Chicago IL. Being an only child and having a 97 year old mother in the Detroit, Mike has returned to Detroit to make sure his mother is well taken care of. He hit the ground running when he came back to Detroit by starting up the group Elemental with guitarist/vocalist Mike Payne. Elemental is one of The Bashes more popular groups and Mike Hudson was the Co-founder and a huge factor in its success. Mike Hudson is dedicated to providing his audiences with an unforgettable afternoon or evening of saxsational music. INTO THE PRESENT:.
