Over the last 20 years The TROPICS have made more than 500 appearances at every top venue in the Northwest and were selected “House Band” at Angel of the Winds Casino. We play for Private Parties, Clubs, Weddings, Concert Series, Festivals, and Corporate Events of all types (and budgets) … large or small. The TROPICS are college educated music professionals and, in the early days, were all teachers in the public schools. OUR SOUND and SERVICES The TROPICS include 3 Lead Vocalists, 2 Guitarists, Keyboard, Saxophone and Flute and produce an INCREDIBLE VARIETY of music from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s and newer music too! This includes Classic Rock, Country, R&B, Soul, Yacht Rock, Light Jazz, Ballroom and background music for cocktails and dinner.! For Weddings we provide "MC services" and are happy to perform ceremony music and special dances. Although The TROPICS are a busy TRIO we now offer an additional service: the TROPICS DUO! It’s the same great music featuring 2 vocalists, Guitar, Saxophone and Flute at a lower price with less emphasis on harder-edged, “guitar solo” oriented songs. HERE'S WHO WE ARE GREG BOEHME (pronounced “Bay-me”) plays Saxophone, Guitar, Flute, Keyboards and Vocals. Greg taught music in the Shoreline Schools for decades and was named one of Seattle's "10 Best Artists" for his local hit single "Love Be Kind". Over the years Greg has introduced thousands of students to the joys of music through Band, Orchestra, Guitar and Piano Classes. Lead Vocalist ELAINE SKEFFINGTON attended the Esther Boyer College of Music at Temple University. In addition to The TROPICS, Elaine performs with Seattle area bands Bell Bottom Blues (Eric Clapton Tribute), Feelin’ Alright (The Joe Cocker Connection), and Georgefest Seattle (a musical celebration of George Harrison). She was also half of the acoustic duo IVYLANE for their 15 year run! CHAD QUIST attended the Berkley School of Music and displays astonishing virtuosity on Guitar. His career includes 10 years as an Los Angeles studio musician and record producer, as well as multiple world tours with well known groups and (currently) Heart By Heart. Chad was also a member of the late Paul Allen’s  personal band. WHY BOOK THE TROPICS?
